California Dental License

A California dental license may be obtained through the completion of a highly specialized dental program that is recognized by an institution of higher education that is recognized by the American Dental Association. The education of a dentist usually takes 8 years minimum, and at least 4 of those years must be at an accredited post graduate school of dentistry. An exam will be taken in the state of choice if all requirements have been met.

In order to keep a California dental license current and have the privilege of renewal, continuing education requirements must be met. 50 hours of continuing education must be completed to renew a California dental license.
