Southern California Sedation Dentistry

Southern California Sedation dentistry is also called sleep dentistry. Sedation dentists assist patients with high anxiety by medicating them before a dental procedure. These dentists can also sedate clients who require multiple procedures during the same visit.

The types of methods Southern California sedation dentists use are Inhalation Sedation or Intravenous Sedation.

Nitrous Oxide, or laughing gas, is the most common inhalation technique in sedation dentistry. Patients feel anxiety free during a dental procedure when given a Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen combination. This type of sedation is the most commonly used of all sedation techniques in California sedation dentistry.

California sedation dentistry may also use an IV drip for sedation purposes. Many patients prefer this type of sedation dentistry because it causes them to feel sleepy and these patients tend to remember less details of the dental treatment.
